Empowering Health and Sustainability (EHS)

The EHS initiative is supported by a grant from the Kresge Foundation, B.O.S.S. aims to address
a multi-pronged issue that intersects with multiple, critical social challenges including health
disparities for BIPOC, lack of investment and resources in local or essential hospitals, climate
change, energy infrastructure, etc. The initiative will be working directly with America's Essential Hospitals and B.O.S.S. will conduct research and analysis to develop strategic
recommendations for policy and market integration. The goal is to increase B.O.S.S.’ capacity
to work alongside hospitals/health systems to build out an infrastructure of renewable
generation and sustainable building performance/energy efficiency to reduce power outages
and operating costs.
